Students of Coventry University's Automotive and Transport Design course are getting ready for their annual degree show, dubbed ‘Discover ID'. Already the largest show in Europe, this year's exhibition will be the biggest ever, with 107 BA and MDes students showcasing their design talents. Aside from automotive projects, the exhibition will feature projects including two full-size motorcycles, a Rolls-Royce yacht, a Pacific cruise airship and arctic tourism vehicles.
Pininfarina has unveiled a video teaser of its Cambiano concept that reveals the rear end of the car for the first time. The Cambiano will be displayed on Pininfarina's Geneva Motor Show stand from 6 March. NEW SPEED CAMERAS painted grey and placed along large sections of the UK’s motorway could be introduced within two years. The Highways Agency is looking to increase the amount of ‘managed motorway’ on the network – sections where the overall speed of traffic is adjusted up and down to avoid traffic jams and to allow the use of hard-shoulder running. Currently sections of the M25 and M40 operate variable speed limits
Under new plans however cameras will be placed on large sections of motorway designed to catch drivers exceeding the overall 70mph limit.
